Fast-curing vapor barrier. Specifically designed for use as a negative-side, liquid-applied vapor barrier. The material reduces moisture vapor emission rate (MVER) and alkalinity to levels acceptable for most resilient and epoxy flooring systems. KÖSTER VAP I® 2000 UFS has a perm rating of 0.08 (ASTM E96 wet) and offers all the features and benefits of KÖSTER VAP I® 2000 and KÖSTER VAP I® 2000 FS, but is formulated to cure within as little as 2 hours, depending on ambient temperature and humidity. This product is specially developed for rapid floor installation (ultra-fast setting) in locations such as retail stores, functioning hospitals, schools, and many other projects where elevated moisture and alkalinity are present, and fast flooring system commissioning is required.
This unique formula is a 100% solids, 2-component, bluish-tinted, low-viscosity, solvent-free (low VOC) specialty resin system. Suitable for use with vinyl sheet goods, VCT, rubber, wood, ceramic, sports flooring, hard-backed carpet, epoxy, ESD, and nearly all other types of finished flooring.
